Dual Laser Engraver

5 Steps to Connect EM-Smart Dual with LightBurn

After getting your EM-Smart Dual SE laser engraver ready, the next step is to connect it with the software. In this blog, we will explore the combination between the EM-Smart Dual laser engraver and the LightBurn software. Let's dive into the important details! Simply press the power switch to start your EM-Smart Dual laser engraver and control your computer to configure the software.

Step 1: Save the LightBurn Software from the USB Flash Driver to the PC Desktop

A free LightBurn version has been prepared for you in the USB flash drive. You can add this folder to the PC desktop and then open the LightBurn (PreRelesed). Then you can operate step by step according to the instructions shown on the window.
Remark: Remember to click the EzCAD2 driver installation in this process.

If you have previously used engraving software such as LightBurn or EzCAD, you may need to uninstall these following the instructions below.

1. Open your computer's Device Manager.

2. Locate the LightBurn/EZCAD driver, which might be named "USBLMCV4" or "USBLMCV2".

3. Right-click on the driver and select "Uninstall device".

4. If the driver doesn't appear, you have uninstalled the old one successfully.

Step 2: Connecting EM-Smart Dual with LightBurn

After installing and opening LightBurn, click “Devices” in the bottom right corner of the interface.

Step 3: Connecting JCZFiber

Select "Find My Laser" and choose JCZFiber, and add the device. Click "Next" in the bottom right corner of the interface. Please note that if you've previously connected to another fiber laser, you may need to remove the old connection. If your laser engraver is also a JCZ Lite, you can simply click to connect directly.

Step 4: Editing the Machine Name

Modify the device name and working area size if needed, then click "Next". Complete the process by clicking "Finish".
